The Brainwashing App ("the app") is run by Ashley Robutz LLC, a California company ("I", "me"). By creating an account or starting a free trial you agree to everything on this page.

Terms of use

Your account

You sign in with your email and a one-time code. You need to be 18 or older. Your account is for you alone, so please don't share your sign-in.

Free trial and subscription

• The yearly plan is $199 per year and starts with a 14-day free trial.
• The monthly plan is $29 per month and starts with a 7-day free trial.
• A card is required to start a trial. Each person gets one free trial.
• If you don't cancel before your trial ends, your card is charged for the plan you chose on the day the trial ends.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price, every month or every year, until you cancel.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your card number.

How to cancel

Open the app, go to the You tab, tap Manage subscription, then tap Cancel subscription. Cancelling is done by you, in the app. I don't cancel subscriptions by email.

When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of your free trial or the period you've already paid for. You are not charged again.

Refunds

All payments are final and there are no refunds, including for partial months or years and for time you didn't use. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund a charge that has already gone through. If a refund is required by law where you live, that law applies.

What the app is, and what it isn't

The sessions are audio for personal development: guided recoding, affirmations, hypnosis-style relaxation, and coaching. They are not medical care, mental health treatment, nutrition advice, or financial advice, and they don't replace a doctor, therapist, dietitian, or financial professional. I can't promise specific results with your money, your body, or your career.

If you are being treated for a medical or mental health condition, talk to your provider before using the app. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number.

Sessions marked "Sit-down only" involve closing your eyes and deep relaxation. Never listen to them while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.

The content is mine

Every session, script, and recording in the app belongs to Ashley Robutz LLC. Your subscription lets you listen for your own personal use. You may not download, copy, record, share, resell, or publish the sessions.

Changes and access

I add, update, and sometimes remove sessions. I may suspend or end an account that shares access, copies content, or misuses the app. I may also update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update.

The legal part

The app is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ashley Robutz LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Privacy policy

What I collect

• Your account details: your email address, your first name, your time zone, the focus areas you pick, and the goal you type in.
• Your subscription status: whether you're on a trial or a paid plan and when it ends. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach me.
• Your activity in the app: favorites, completed sessions, streak, and minutes listened. This is stored in your own browser on your device.
• Website visits: this website uses Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, the page you came from). The app itself does not use it.

How I use it

To sign you in, serve you the right sessions, run your subscription, and answer you when you email me. If I ever email you about the app beyond sign-in codes and billing, you can unsubscribe.

I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with anyone except the services that make the app work.

The services I use

• Supabase stores your account.
• Stripe handles payment and billing emails.
• Resend sends your sign-in codes.
• Hostinger hosts the website and the app.
• Microsoft Clarity provides website analytics.

Your choices

You can change your name, focus, and goal on the You tab. To see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have your account and data deleted, email me and I'll take care of it. Billing records that the law requires me to keep are kept by Stripe.

The app is not meant for anyone under 18.
